CAD joins the event: World Food Day 2016

During the 24th - 27th November 2016, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) integrates with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Chiang Rai Province to organize the World Food Day 2016 under the topic "Climate is changing. Food and agriculture must too” focusing on the significance of adapting ways to do farming and food consumption in terms of effects on environment and weather reduction as well as poverty alleviation and food accessibility increasing. This event is presided over by General Chatchai Sarikulya, Minister of MOAC at GMS International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Rim Kok Sub-district, Muang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province. MOAC, aware of agricultural productivity that must reach safety standard and be relevant to the natural changing situations nowadays, presents the information on the effects of global warming towards food producing and agricultural products. Furthermore, MOAC transfers its body of knowledge, techniques and demonstrates how to do farming like planting, livestock and fishery in order to gain qualified and high productivity under the climate changing situation. Doing these is just to encourage agriculturists to apply the lessons learned and increase amount of products more efficiently.

In this regard, the Cooperative Auditing Department (CAD) also organizes the exhibition on "Sufficiency Economy Philosophy: The Royal Approach towards Abundance”. It showcases how to bring an Accounting System to the source of food stability. Mrs. Kanittha Manosombat, Voluntary Accounting Teacher in Chiang Rai, presents that she follows the Late King’s Philosopher in solving her problems concerning life and occupation by using an Accounting System as a tool to acquire the core of sufficiency and analyze accounting data in the New Theory Agriculture Management covering the accommodating area of 53 wah2. Producing household secure food, she can expand the result as a channel to produce a source of security food in the community efficiently. Therefore, a better living has been gained and witnessed by H.E. Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives who pays a visit at the exhibition and attentively listens to the Voluntary Accounting Teachers’ stories of success.
